SUMMARY


To sell manufacturers products and services currently represented by TriNova Inc.; as well as TriNova’s very own services and training. People in this position become technically competent with the application of products, and gain a general understanding of process conditions. This position helps customers by providing the correct solutions to their problems; being a problem-solver, a trusted advisor, and a technical expert in applying our products; and being a liaison between the customer and the company. Moreover, people in the position build relationships and rapport with customers (they become more than just a point of contact); and also understand the customer’s processes.

PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Call on “Decision Maker Customers” within the Industrial Market: Industrial Manufacturing Plants, Chemical Refineries, Food and Beverage Manufacturing Plants, Medical / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plants, Electric Power Utilities, Industrial Engineering Firms, Skid Builders, Equipment Manufacturers, and Instrumentation System Integrators. Provide Instrumentation Solutions to customers, and act as a trusted advisor in applying our products to their application needs.
  • Call on “Decision Maker Customers” within the Municipal Market: Municipal Water / Wastewater Utilities, Municipal Consulting Engineers, Municipal General Contractors, and Instrumentation System Integrators. Provide Instrumentation Solutions to customers, and act as a trusted advisor in applying our products to their application needs.
  • Review specifications, application requirements, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates, and benefits, for the client’s use of proposed equipment or services.
  • Prepare or propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations.
  • Provide technical support to customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Prepare sales contracts for products, services & training.
  • Provide technology overviews and seminars to groups.
  • Develop and grow a territory by generating product sales, service & training.
  • Provide sales reports as needed.
  • Prepare monthly forecast of expected sales
  • Prepare yearly goals/numbers for your territory at year end meeting
  • Set up sales calls/seminars for Regional Managers of Manufacturers
  • Provide detailed service call information to Service Coordinator
  • Use & Learn the TriNova Calendar system
  • Provide feedback to Sales Manager
  • Review Bookings Reports/Payment Reports and provide feedback to Sales Manager

MINIMUM EDUCATION

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or business concentration
  • BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering is a plus
  • Minor in Sales Engineering is a plus

TRAVEL

  • Local travel is required
  • Occasional overnight travel required for meetings and training
SKILLS

DESIRED:
  • Ability to achieve technical proficiency in flow, level, pressure, and analytical field instrumentation sales.
  • Ability to achieve technical proficiency in chemical feed system sales.
